By means of bone grafting, we can restore large gaps in the bone and reconstruct thin or inadequate jaw bones. The reconstruction of your jaw bone is always possible, regardless of jaw type. Thanks to this procedure, long lasting tooth implants can also be implemented upon even the thinnest and most inadequate jaw bones.
The bone needed to rebuild your jaw is taken from the wisdom tooth area using an ultrasonic surgical instrument, also known as Piezo surgery.
Location
Like all of our surgical operations, jaw reconstructions will be carried out at our clinic here in Munich, on Cuvilliésstraße.
Anaesthetic
The reconstruction of your jaw can be done under local anaesthesia, half sleep (premedication/sedation) or under general anaesthesia.
Post Operation
Generally, jaw reconstruction operations are tolerated well.
After the operation you will receive cool compresses from us to aid the healing process.
Generally, swelling in the cheeks goes down within only a few days.
For your convenience, we are not only contactable during our clinic’s open hours, but are also reachable on the go, 24 hours a day.
Your stitches will be removed one week after your operation.
