Sinus augmentation is an operative procedure to raise the upper jaw in the area of the molar teeth. This procedure elevates the floor of the sinuses if they have stretched or sunk below the desirable level. The vacant space beneath your sinuses can be filled with your own bone. This bone is gained by drilling using a special filter.
Principally, this procedure can be undertaken at the same time as the implementation of dental implants.
Location
Like all of our surgical operations, sinus augmentation will be carried out at our clinic here in Munich, on Cuvilliésstraße.
Anaesthetic
Sinus augmentation can be done under local anaesthesia, half sleep (premedication/sedation) or under general anaesthesia.
Post Operation
Generally, sinus lift operations are well tolerated.
After the operation you will receive cool compresses from us to aid the healing process.
Generally, swelling in the cheeks goes down within only a few days.
For your convenience, we are not only contactable during our clinic’s open hours, but are also reachable on the go, 24 hours a day.
Your stitches will be removed one week after your operation.
